BAYKAL APHS - Compact CNC Bending

The Baykal APHS is a servo hydraulic CNC press brake engineered for shops that need reliable, accurate bending performance without the complexity or cost of a full-production machine. Available in tonnages from 44 to 330 and bed lengths from 4 to 14 feet, the APHS fits a wide range of fabrication applications — from HVAC and enclosures to structural components and general job shop work Despite its compact designation, the APHS is built on the same rigid monoblock steel frame platform that defines Baykal’s full press brake range, delivering the structural integrity needed for consistent bends over thousands of cycles.

Servo Hydraulic Drive with Electronic Synchronization — Proportional valve technology with constant CNC monitoring and correction of beam parallelism, achieving ±0.0004″ repeatability. Stroke depth measured through high-precision bed-referenced linear scales.

CNC-Controlled Backgauge — Servo-driven on ballscrew spindles for fast, precise positioning. Available in up to 4-axis configurations for angled and offset positioning.

Compact, Rigid Frame Design — Welded monoblock steel frame minimizes deflection under load. Downstroking bending beam runs on two forged-steel cylinders, precisely honed and chrome plated, fully supported in low-friction fiber slideways and roller gibs.

Touchscreen CNC Control — Standard 2D touchscreen graphical controller for programming bend sequences, storing part programs, and managing production with minimal training. Offline programming available.

Adjustable Front Support Arms — Linear-guided support arms accommodate varying part sizes and weights, reducing operator fatigue.

Safety Systems — Full EC Machinery Directive conformity with CE marking. Optional AKAS laser safety system with manual or motorized adjustment.

Available Options: CNC crowning (hydraulic or mechanical), extended open height and longer stroke, deeper throat depth, hydraulic tool clamping (upper and lower), 2/4/5-axis backgauge upgrades, programmable sheet follower arms, AKAS laser safety, tandem configuration, American or European style tooling clamps.
